Pursuing impact – and benchmark – level returns

To construct each fund’s portfolio, we start with the universe of stocks in its benchmark:

  • We then apply values + risk screens to remove industries of moral concern as well as companies with exceptionally poor performance on environmental, social and governance issues.
  • Then, to support our pursuit of performance close to the fund’s benchmark, we apply quantitative optimization techniques.

Beyond portfolio construction, we pursue multiple additional strategies for real-world impact, guided by the Praxis ImpactX framework--engaging company management, voting proxies, including community development investments, and more. Praxis ETFs™ are governed by the philosophy that being faithful stewards means using investment assets to generate returns that are both productive and reflect God’s values. We call this stewardship investing.

Innovation through community investing

Praxis Impact ETFs allow you to make a difference through community investing. This unique approach for ETFs allow investors to support deep-impact, concessionary investments that bring direct benefits to low income and underserved communities here in the U.S. and around the world.

Founding principles

Why impact matters

Since 1994, we have shaped our approach to impact by asking the question “What more can we do?” — and integrating new strategies as they emerge over time.

We are guided by our core values, seeking to hold in tension a responsibility for the productive use of financial resources and a deep-seated concern for the individuals, communities and environments impacted by our investment choices.

Investing involves risk. Principal loss is possible.

ETFs are subject to additional risks that do not apply to conventional mutual funds, including the risks that the market price of an ETF's shares may trade at a premium or discount to its net asset value, an active secondary trading market may not develop or be maintained, or trading may be halted by the exchange in which they trade, which may impact an ETF's ability to sell its shares. Shares of any ETF are bought and sold at market price (not NAV) and are not individually redeemed from the ETF. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns.
